Hi guys, Thank you guys so much for finally getting a real video capture / editing / export solution on Linux. Yes there's still a way to go, but considering the size of the team and the quality of the project so far, you guys are doing amazing in my book. That said, I've just used the updated build script from this forum (the one with the menu) which seemed to get the sources and compile just fine (Kdenlive runs without complaint). Most functions seem to work fine and it's great seeing the new HD formats in there. I'm just having a couple of unfortunate showstopper bugs and I'm not sure if it's just something I did wrong or a bug in Kdenlive: 1. Video in the timeline monitor doesn't play. I get a black screen and no sound. I can play clips in the clip monitor fine. 2. When clicking the "Generate DVD" button in the DVD export section, I get the error message: Quote: .""The export terminated unexpectedly. As far as I can see everything is using folders I have write permission and ownership for. 3. No video capture - Whenever I choose anything that would access the camera / controls I get: Quote:
"Too many output file names. Any ideas or requests for info that would help? (I'm on Kubuntu Gutsy 7.10 final 32bit with an Nvidia card) Thanks! |

Not sure about 1 and 2... which version of Kdenlive / MLT / FFmpeg are you using ? Issue 3 is caused by an unsupported dvgrab version. You need dvgrab 3.1 to capture in dv and hdv. regards |
