Kdenlive uses KDE 4.2's new Kuiserver feature to show your render progress. Kuiserver is a universal way of showing progress of any background item from any program capable of using it. If you've ever burned a disk with K3B you know the kind of pop up progress bar that's possible. Kuiserver just let's you see progress for a whole bunch of activities in the background.

Now, only 2 hours before the feature freeze for KDE 4.2, a slick applet for showing progress of Kuiserver items (Like Kdenlive renders) has snuck it's way in. Given KDE 4.2 launches after Kdenlive 0.7.1 is due we won't see it there unfortunately, but it *should* be in for the next release: Kdenlive 0.7.2.

Take a look* (and imagine it says "Render" instead of "Copying" and that there's a sexy new logo to the left ;-):

Go KDE, go Kdenlive!
