Project -> Create Slideshow Clip ->select your folder with images and set "Duration per image" = 00:00:00:01

Is it possible to export as well? I usually convert with ffmpeg -i filein -an fileout%5.png . How do I pass that %5 to custom render setting?

It is perfectly possible to use Kdenlive to make a film using Blender frames. This feature is called Slideshow. You only need to display 24, 25 or 30 frames per second. Two important bugs in MLT were fixed yesterday about slideshow, so you should use the Latest SVN versions. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If you can wait, I will make a tutorial soon.

Please check http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=430

Feel free to chirp in with some comments. A manual procedure is needed currently.

You need to execute this "ffmpeg -i somefile.avi somefile%05d.png" in a terminal.
Go to the directory where "somefile.avi" is located and run the command.
