I have a slideshow of about 140 TGA images that I want to render out as an AVI file.

At 30 frames a second or so, it should only be a little under five seconds long.

However, when I import the slides, and then drag the clip to the timeline, it says it is about 8 minutes and 43 seconds long.

When I render it out, that's how long it becomes. The resulting animation is incredibly slow.

I can't find any way to adjust the frame rate or anything so that it is the correct time length.

Is there something I can do about this?

When you create a Slideshow Clip, there is a field to set the Frame Duration (actually, duration per picture). Did you set that to one frame?

I knew I must have been missing something obvious.

For some reason I thought that field was for the length of the clip, not the length of each frame. (Despite the fact that the word "frame" is right there...)
