Hye,

Newbie to Kdenlive 0.7.8 and want to compare it agains Windows Live Movie Maker 2011 (WLMM)

For my basic test study, I want to make a video from photo clips and add effects, title, generic, watemarks, fade in/out, etc.

So I have put a set of 30 pictures as well as 3 audio clips on the time line.

How to set a group of pictures, say 20 to a default duration of 1sec, another set of 10 to a duration of 2sec ?

In WLMM I just select the pictures and specify the duration and its applyied to the all selection.

In Kdenlive I tryied
1/ to select a group by SHIFT + mouse drag then right click duration, but I see a msg saying "cannot edit the duration of multiple items"
2/ to group them, then right click duration but says "cannot edit duration on a group"

Thanks

Yep, you cannot. But you can add a feature request in our Mantis bug tracker.

But for your problem you could simply create a slideshow clip of your pictures. (Add > Slideshow Clip)

Another thing you can do is to change the default image duration before adding each batch of images to the Project Tree.
Settings > Configure Kdenlive > Default Durations > Image clips
