Hi,
is there a short (german) manual wich explains to a newbie, how to cut commercials out of an MPEG2 works with kdenlive? Let me explain: I record television films with a TV-card in my PC. These MPEG2-files needed to become free of commercials, and the beginning and the end must be cut also. I am absolut newbie to kdenlive, gave it a try (version 0.7.8), but do not understand, how cutting with kdenlive works. Try and error does not work, and as you can see, my english is too poor to read english manuals. Beside that I did not found an english manual, wich only explains that, what I need. I am not interested in video hobby, because I do not have the time for it. Family, job and so on, you know. So, you would make my computer life a bit more easier, if you could give me, what I am looking for. Thanks a lot in advance, greetings from the boerzel |

Maybe you did not try hard enough. ;-)
But your English is well enough to understand the following "How to". 1. Drag the movie on the pink track in the timeline 2. Place the cursor where you want to cut your clip and press SHIFT-R 3. Repeat 2 if you need another cut (giving the beginning or end of the clip to be removed) 4. Click on the Clip you want to remove and press ENTF 5. Repeat 2-4 as often as needed 6. Use the spacer tool (icon at bottom right of Kdenlive window, like <-|) and move the remaining clips to get rid of the space betweeen the clips. Maybe there is a menu entry to "Remove space", I have heard of this, but never used it. Then render the movie and you are done. |
