audio for some parts out of sync - but fine if I jump straight to that part
Fri Sep 16, 2011 1:30 am
Hi all, I have a large video foo.mkv, created by kdenlive with f=matroska acodec=pcm_s16le ac=2 vcodec=libx264 cqp=0 preset=ultrafast If I convert it to a DVD-compatible foo.mpg then I can play it, and the audio is all in sync. I then made a second kdenlive project, in which I have a few pieces of foo.mkv (proxied) and I fade between them. It seems that if I jump to a particular point in this second video and play, then the audio is in sync, but if I play from the start then some of the pieces have out-of-sync audio. Likewise, if I render with f=matroska acodec=pcm_s16le ac=2 vcodec=libx264 cqp=0 preset=ultrafast to make foo-abridged.mkv, and then convert that to a DVD-compatible foo-abridged.mpg and play it, then the audio in those parts is out-of-sync. Unfortunately, foo.mkv is 37G, so before I see if I can make a small example for a useful bug report, I was wondering if this rings any bells or if the problem jumps out at anyone? I don't think it's relevant, but I make the mpg's with: ffmpeg -i foo.mkv -passlogfile foo -pass 1 -aspect 16:9 -target pal-dvd foo.mpg ffmpeg -y -i foo.mkv -passlogfile foo -pass 2 -aspect 16:9 -target pal-dvd foo.mpg I have recent git/svn versions of kdenlive and melt. Thanks Ian |

sounds similar to a problem I have
http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=2160 Title is a bit mis-leading, I thought that was the issue at first. If I use mp3 audio for background music for a track, clicking around in the project, audio is out of sync. If I play the project through from the start, it is fine. I only found this when I came to render a project I had timed up etc, it was all wrong. There have been a few posts similar to this over the months. I now convert mp3s to wav before using in kdenlive, this solves the problem |
