Hi,

I'm using Gentoo and I'm happy with it.
I'm a user, not a developer.

No worries about your english, you're not the only non-native speaker here.
I use Ubuntu (commence the flogging now) and run Gnome. But KdenLive is superior to anything Gnome has on offer right now. And well, we use what works...

As a developer over the past year, I have been using Arch 32-bit, openSUSE 11.1 64-bit, and most recently KXStudio as my primary workstations all with KDE. In addition, I have occasionally used Arch 64-bit KDE, Ubuntu 9.10 Gnome, and Ubuntu 10.04 Gnome. Plus OS X as a primary workstation.

I use Slackware 13.1 64bits in my day-to-day work on my pc, which also hosts the slackware 13.1 virtual machines (32bit and 64bit) on which I create the packages. Works like a charm imo.

Which distro you advertise me with kde? Kubuntu?
I am only beginner c/c++ programmer, but I would like to learn one.

What do you think about gambas? It is simple and I know very well visual basic. Can I develop a good application using gambas?
