Q: What is refactoring ? a new kdenlive ?
A: No. To refactor software is replacing parts of the software with new code that does exactly the same. Code refactoring has to be done, if the structure of the given code has been growing (because more and more features were added over time) and applying changes to it becomes too complex and rises side effects. It is easier to rewrite that code to get a new, lean code design which makes changes and additions easier. It is done to each software sooner or later, because no one can imagine all future feature requests when starting to design a software.

So, right now I would not expect something visible to change. But in near future your feature requests may be implemented faster on a solid and more reliable code base.
