hi all

i have a mpeg file (2.5gb) that i made with a digicam. i recorded some scenes in this clip.. some scene changes (standby, start,...).

now.. before i changed to linux and kdenlive i worked with pinnacle studio. pinnacle studio autimaticaly splits my mpeg in scenes. so i can drag&drop a single scene into the timeline...

in kdenlive, is there a function like this, or any addon?

ps2: is there any irc channel for kdenlive?

No, currently Kdenlive does not parse video files to detect scenes, but if you capture from your camera through firewire with dvgrab or kdenlive, you will get one file for each scene.

That would however be a nice feature to have...
