Hello,

I'm currently running Kubuntu 7.1 64bit and happily running kdenlive (from repos).

Due to some frustrating issues with Kubuntu I'm forced to go back to Ubuntu (Gnome) and I remember having instability issues and no sound on kdenlive 0.5 on gnome.

Since I really love this program and I wish to keep using it, is there anything I should do(or lib to install) to get it running properly on gnome too?

Sound output uses SDL. You might need or want to set the SDL_AUDIODRIVER to esd if you are enabled the sound daemon.
