...because now the "The Kdenlive7 SVN Howto for openSUSE 11.0" is online !!! It's all about helping people to install the Kdenlive Builder Wizard. I've extensively tested it only on my computer with fresh installs of Gnome and KDE3 so it should work anywhere. If it works for you (or perhaps doesn't) let me know! It is located here: |

Nice! If you want to fix the qt steps before your users run the wizard, you can add this to the howto before running the wizard: echo -e "QT_INCLUDE_DIR\t/usr/include/" > .kdenliveBuilderWizard.rc That sets up the QT paths. In fact you can copy any setting you need to perform in the wizard from your local copy of this file - just remember that it needs to be tab separated. (Please test it before adding it to the howto - it works for me (tm), but I have been bitten a number of times now :-) Regards Mads |

The 'echo' trick works allright here. I just noticed that the suse howto forum has a 'read only' policy which means I cannot edit the original post. Oh well, guess I'll wait for some more feedback and then either go bother their admins or post an update in this forum. |
