What's up with the pink track?

Sun Nov 29, 2009 7:24 pm
I've kinda missed the introduction of the pink track on the timeline and can't seem to find any info on it. I've grown sort of fond of it and can see the use it has for quick reference to which track we're looking at but still have a few questions.

Is there a special use for it outside of being quick reference?
I noticed I can move it up and down with Alt-Up/Alt-Down. Can I change this short-cut in the future if I ever want to or is this locked for a reason? (otherwise I might file a feature request for this)
Is there a special reason for it to be pink? Not that I mind the color but I'm just curious.

Allright, I found one use for it; the 'Insert Clipzone in Timeline (Overwrite)' uses the set In Point and the pink selected track for the insert location.

If anyone has more answers or uses for it let me know!
