Hi everyone, I was wandering whether there was a way to zoom vertically on the timeline, thus enabling to see more timeline at a time (zoom out) or making tweaks on effect timelines easier (zoom in). I can't find a way to do it. Having large clips seems to be mainly useful for displaying at the same time thumbnails of the video and the audio waveform. But when the video has no audio or if the audio is separated from audio (see issue 332 : http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=332 with wich I totally agree, because I think audio should always be separated from video) then it start to get difficult to see all the tracks, especially beacuse audio tracks are grouped together under the video tracks. Try ctrl+mouse wheel. Or, the slider in the button of the screen. Note the small zoom buttons. |

The zoom you are refering to is the horizontal zoom (or time zoom or whatever it should be called), and not a vertical zoom that would make the timeline heights smaller... Maybe my first post wasn't very clear... |

Not a bad idea... It could be implemented in the exact same way as the horizontal zoom, just with the slider on the right... |

Maybe my first post wasn't very clear... Ah, sorry, my bad (mental note: vertical is not the same as horizontal). This is a neat idea, even though it is potentially hard on the thumbnail generating code (we should probably create mipmapped thumbnails for fixed levels of zomm). Thank you for posting a feature request. |
