I think the builder wizard is a good idea, but maybe it doesn't need to have a fancy graphical user interface. If it's just a terminal window tool I think it should be a lot easier to maintain.
The wizard should also be able to remove everything it installs if the user wants to go back to using packages. I don't currently use the wizard because I already figured out how to build from source code without it. |

You can use packages & svn versions next to each other with the KBW. |

Nope, I hate build scripts. I am making my own rpms. Please support something in a "configure; make; make install" way.

Yes! I want a new Builder. It was very useful for me. It allowed me to run SVN versions and provide bug reports, and see them fixed. Kdenlive's interdependencies with other packages make it horrible to build by hand for those of us who are not coders.
This tool is great! |

I would like to use the builder but it doesn't look like the guy is interested in developing it anymore.
Since it no longer works, someone with permissions to do so should unpublish: http://kdenlive.org/user-manual/downloading-and-installing-kdenlive/builder-wizard |

I also vote for a new builder version!!!
The ppa repo is good to have, but since it's not always up to date I would like to build kdenlive using the kdenlive builder wizard. Because it's the easiest way to help the developers testing new commits! greetings greetings ) Always using latest svn versions of mlt, mlt++ and kdenlive (ubuntu). |

I'd like to have it too for the same reason. Testing features, trying new versions, etc.
