Hello all, New to Kdenlive. Just installed per the download page. I'm running Ubuntu (8.10 Intrepid). While the app appears to load and run just fine (no errors or warnings detected), I seem to have a problem with audio when I import a video clip. The video (an avi pulled from a digital camera) itself is fine, however, the audio sounds garbled and highly distorted (to the point where I can barely distinguish voices from the distortion). Running the same video standalone through Totem or VLC, I have zero problems. So, my thought is that there must be some audio library dependences that I'm missing. Any suggestions? Thanks much. How old is your build? There was a bug in the last releases of MLT and kdenlive on dealing with 8-bit audio, which is common from digital cameras. This has been fixed since a few weeks. Either upgrade to SVN HEAD versions or wait for the new release any day now.

Currently running Kdenlive 0.7, MLT 0.3.2-1. I'll take a look at the latest builds and see if that resolves my audio problem. Thanks. |

To follow up on this issue: the upgrade to 0.7.1 has indeed resolved the garbled audio problem. |

Please check bug reports before reporting problems. It can help gathering issues on an open ticket. For example, in the case of HDV 1080p, I reported: http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=568 |
