Sorry for this most basic qeustion. I have been looking all over and can't find a guide. How do I use the cutting tool?

Is there some where that I can read a basic how tos  

Drag and drop a clip on the timeline. Select Toll->Raroz toll. Cut the clip on the timeline. That's it. I will make a 30s video tutorial tomorrow.

Re: "...the sound from the video makes it into the finished product." Yes, the sound that corresponds to the video that appears on the timeline after the cut exists by design. I am unable to reproduce where the sound from the segment that was removed still exists.
