When I try to download the video from my Canon HV-30 to the computer I click on Connect in the Record Monitor window. The camera makes some winding and after a while it says not connected in that window. I can't see anything is tranfered from the camera. Am I doing something wrong or is it kdenlive that doesn't work?

Edit: Now I added ffmpeg and turn the camera on after I hit connect and now I could see the clips in the record monitor and import all 3 clips.

Edit 2: Just found out I had to rewind and start the tape. I thought that was what kdenlive was trying to do when it was initialising.
