Eeek, got an urgent project in today, one in a series I've been editing in Kdenlive so I have a 'start' file with some parts which are always the same ready to go.
For some reason I'm unable to edit or create new titles (but the ones that exist in the project are fine). When I either double-click on a title or create a new one, the title editor shows up as expected, and I see the OK button for a split second as normal, then it goes grey. No way to edit or create new titles. Why could this be, this project is a story that uses titles before each part.. I urgently need this to work like it used to, creating and editing them in GIMP is going to be a huge pain :-( Output of melt -query producers: --- producers: - qimage - kdenlivetitle - avformat - avformat-novalidate - framebuffer - vorbis - kino - pango - pixbuf - xml - xml-string - melt - melt_file - abnormal - color - colour - consumer - loader - hold - noise - ppm - frei0r.ising0r - frei0r.lissajous0r - frei0r.nois0r - frei0r.onecol0r - frei0r.partik0l - frei0r.plasma - pgm - libdv - decklink - slowmotion Latest Kdenlive stable from source, MLT (0.7.2) from source, everything else from normal Fedora Repos. Fedora 15, i686 UPDATE: Just realized the existing titles show up fine in the preview inside the project tree, but not when placed on the timeline :-( AAAAAARGHHHHHHH |

Can't answer your question, but can you create titles in a brand new project?
As a work around you could create your titles in a new project, save it, then drag the project files into your main project, which will render the titles. |

Can't, same problem in new project. Also, existing titles show only their preview in the project tree, but show up as black when placed on the timeline.

OK, got some progress, at least enough for me to get on with the project for now.
Uninstalled Kdenlive and MLT, updated Fedora, reinstalled MLT from source (same config settings as last time), reinstalled Kdenlive from source (same settings as last time). Now the OK button is still grey, but if I save the title to disc, and then add it to the project manually, it works. I'm guessing there's a bug that makes the title editor think that the title can't be saved. Whatever is causing it happens right after the editor is first opened. PS: Why does the forum now ask me to solve a Captcha every time I add a post, even though I'm logged in and am replying to a thread I started!!!? Very annoying :-( |
