First of all thank you for the best video editing app i've ever tried for Linux! Really. This is the real deal!
Then a question. I got some Ogg Theora vids i want to edit in kdenlive. The vids are just rips of some wmv streams i've converted with VLC video player. When i try to Add Clips in kdenlive the clips just shows up as 2 sec clips even though they are about 20 minutes long. I've tried to add some AVI clips and they show up and play just as they should. Any help/suggestions? I've tried different Project Settings/Video Profiles as these clips are widescreen, prob pal, and of bad (streaming) quality, but to no avail.
I'm on Kubuntu 8.10. KDE 4.2. kdenlive 0.7.2.1. |

*Bump* I'll rephrase that question; Anyone got it working? |

Well I've just tested a theora/vorbis video/audio clip and can confirm this isn't working correctly with the latest SVN version. Not the same symptoms though, it seems to speed up the beginning and then catch on to the correct framerate/audio playback.
Haven't got time to post a bugreport for my issue so I'll do that later. I suggest you do the same if you want it solved (or put a bit of video online for someone to test). In the meantime I guess you'll have to convert the video to a different format before using it in Kdenlive, using either vlc, ffmpeg, avidemux, handbrake, winff, mencoder (, etc...)
PS - Maybe this is already being fixed? Check bugreport 588 http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=588 |

FFmpeg was recently heavily fixed to support better seeking and time calculation. |
