I love KDENLIVE
If only it would love me too. I often spend an hour or so creating a great home movie clip (10mins oe so), Suddenly the timeline will spread the clips and transitions out and - all is junk! I have looked at other windows applications, but none match the features and user friendliness of Kdenlive. So I am back here to browse the forums. Any ideas on the timeline stability problem? |

I've had similar experiences but haven't been able to recreate them for bug reports (yet!)
In my experience just pay a little more attention while doing stuff like using the spacertool, deleting multiple clips/clips with dissolves, using the razor tool, working with speed, working in overwrite mode and any combination of them. If any clip (especially speed) doesn't behave the way it should save & restart Kdenlive. Also when there is a warning like 'Cannot move clip' save & restart. And make a backup of your project file often, Kdenlive is excellent at crash recovery but it can fail. I'm using Dropbox at the moment for my project file so every time I save I automatically have a backup, you might want to check it (or something similar) out. |
