Hallo. I'm new to the forum, because i wanted to join this community. Kdenlive is really an amazing program and it is nice to see that on linux platforms such powerful tools are avaiable.
In summer im going to cut some of my films i recorded with an old Hi8-Camera, which i have to digitalize first. Now i'm doing some work in kdenlive for testing purposes, which leads me to a question: I have recorded something from TV using my DVD Recorder. The output material are vob files, mainly found on DVD's of cource. So I'm trying to edit them. Just adding them together lead to a hard cut between the files in kdenlive. So I started to open them in Avidemux to create a single stream, which works well, but I don't know exactly to which format i should export it for later editing (HD Space doesn't matter)? I tried different variations but nothing satified me. The main problem is, that i cutted away the end from the film. When I now export the film everything works fine, but when i import this stream to kdenlive the timecode is not correct. The whole film has about 1 hour and 2 minutes. Then i cut away 15 minutes from the end and export it using Avidemux, so the film has 46 minutes. When I play this file in a player it showes me 46 minutes. But when I import this file to kdenlive, the program shows me 1:02 hours. The preview monitor plays till the 46st minute and then appears a black monitor. This happens also when splitting files using avi container format. I have no idea, what to do now, to get this working. Would be great if anybody has a solution for my problem? Should i ask in the Avidemux forum too?
Thank you
