I'm running kdenlive 0.7.3 using the ubuntu jaunty packages. I got some sample files from a Canon HF20 and tried to render a little test. Many of the output codec options are greyed out, and when I select them I see this on the console: kdenlive(27700) RenderWidget::refreshView: ***** UNSUPPORTED ACODEC: "libfaac" I checked and libfaac and libx264 are installed. Are there other packages I need to install? -- Chris

OK, I got it working by deleting my .kde directory and re-running the setup wizard. I also installed the devel version of libmlt and the unstripped version of several other libs: sudo apt-get install libmlt-dev sudo apt-get install libavcodec-unstripped-52 libavformat-unstripped-52 libavutil-unstripped-49 libswscale-unstripped-0
but I don't know if that mattered. It didn't work right until after I deleted the .kde. -- Chris |

In my case just installing the libraries, with the unstripped versions replacing the normal, did the trick and I was able to render.
