This is my very first try with Kdenlive and I must say I like the software. A big "Thank you!" for all the people involved in Kdenlive development!

I'm stuck however because I can't import my clips properly. The clips are MPEG-2, 35Mbit/s, 720p @ 50 fps. FFMPEG reports them as "50 tbr, 50 tbn, 100 tbc" and unfortunately after the import, all the clips show as 100 frames per second in Kdenlive. How could I force Kdenlive to import the clips as 50 fps?

Do they play twice as fast as you expect in Kdenlive? If so, do you see the same problem when playing with 'ffplay' in a console?

Actually, it seems to be playing OK. It was playing OK to me in FFPlay before and now as I play a clip side by side in Kdenlive and FFPlay it looks like the playback is the same.

So, then, is it correct to say that the clip plays fine, but that the information reported in the Clip Properties dialog is suspicious?

Sorry for the late reply - yes, it seems like only the clip information dialog displays incorrect frames per second parameter.
