I tried a number of ways to get smooth edges on title clips, anti alias on/off, etc. but couldn't seem to get it.

The static titles didn't appear as ragged as the moving titles.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get clean edges in title text??

Are you using a Project Setting that is not progressive? If so, make sure that progressive rendering is enabled in the Composite Transition.
