The issue I see here is that this (an integration) would quickly turn into an enormous task without clear advantage. Just to note one crucial point: inkscape uses gtk for its UI, while Kdenlive uses kde. Two completely different UI toolkit philosophies.

What I would be interested in is in a tutorial on what I have to take care of when designing titles using inkscape. What kind of document setup I should choose, et cetera.

On the coding front, it would help to identify concrete svg import problems and then filing bugs.

If you can enlight me somehow on the svg document part, then I may be of some help with filing bug reports. However, I would start from my own existing titling design before sailing into completely unknown territory...
