Should I be able to get HDV data from a Sony HC3 into Kdenlive using the Record Monitor tab? When I try to connect, it says NOT Connected. I have no idea what I need to do. Any pointers? How do I debug? How do I get my HDV data into Linux to use with Kdenlive? Thanks.

From the terminal type sudo chmod 666 /dev/raw1394

Then try and connect - I have the HC3 too and it works great!
