Hi,
I went through all the menus and the gui and didnt find an option for a VU meter. I need to see if there is any clipping. Does kdenlive have a volume meter? Where? thanks |

You mean for sound?
This is not available yet unfortunately. A peak meter would then be useful as well, right? |

I reported this as a feature. I hope it gets implemented soon. Are there any plans to implement this soon?

We are not enough devs yet that planning features would make sense. So I cannot promise anything.
I also don't know how difficult this is; working with audio is not the same as with video ;) |

Yes it would be greatly appreciated to have a audio VU Meter. It's like flying blind. Kdenlive is a great program. The disappointment is that professionals can't use it because it is imperative that your audio levels are correct for broadcasting.
I added this comment to show support for requesting the VU Meter feature. If you (forum member) feel the same, add your comment to give support to have the VU Meter feature added to kdenlive. |

@doogalazza Regarding the UV meter — we do have one now (will be shipped in the next version of kdenlive, 0.7.9 or 0.8), and additionally a Spectrogram and Audio Spectrum.
@farid Correlation meter — nice idea :) Seems like this is also called Goniometer. I will perhaps look into this after the next release. Simon |
