Kdenlive Roadmaps?

Fri Nov 12, 2010 5:26 am
Hi,

Are there any plans to start thinking about a 0.8 roadmap? It might also be interesting to maybe discuss the most important/needed features in the future releases.

Cheers :D

We do not have a top-down or request-driven development model. We independently choose things to work on as we feel like it. Only occasionally do we tell each other what we are planning to do next, but so far we have avoided working on the same things at the same time. :-) Then, as each developer adds things, we offer feedback and identify problems on the maling list. Soon after, users who are using pre-releases receive the change or addition and offer feedback as well. Finally, the lead developer, j-b-m, identifies a period when there have been enough changes and announces a desired release date some few weeks in advance, and we try to avoid adding big changes until the release. This model arose naturally and has not been set into writing until now. This is just my observation of how we have been behaving.

Please use the bug tracker with the "request" priority or the Brainstorm forum to express your ideas and interests.
