Hello,

I think following a distribution update on Ubuntu Karmic I've ended up with the following problems on my "compiled from source" kdenlive:
- Clip thumbnails in the project tree appear garbled
- Title clips are now only in B&W
- When editing a title clip if I select "Show background" then the background image appears compacted to the left and solarized somewhat.

Note that melt has no problem playing the video clips and they play perfectly within kdenlive. Video editing also seems to work.
I'm almost sure this is not a kdenlive bug as I don't have this problem on another computer (that was not Karmic updated).

Thank you for any pointers as to what I should look into to fix the problem.
I've recompiled kdenlive and many associated libraries following this HOWTO:

but that did not solve it.

Can you please post a screenshot showing a thumbnail and the titler (with "show background" enabled)?
