Single-video-track editing?

Sat Dec 12, 2009 6:07 pm
Is there any way to do single-video-track editing (a la Pinnacle Studio) in Kdenlive? I find that a much more intuitive way to edit (and I'd guess that many other home users would too). In ye olden days, you had one reel of 8mm film, you made splices and butted them together to create your masterpiece. I'd prefer to do the same thing in Kdenlive, with the transitions applied on that single video track.

Both iMovie and Windows Movie Maker also use a single track for video. I like how iMovie wraps the track to the next row to eliminate scrolling back and forth.
