i am having some problems with kdenlive on Ubuntu karmic, occasionally playback stops working and once i quit, pulse audio consumes 100% cpu.
also, now for no reason at all, when i click play on the video, the timebar in the time line doesn't move. also, after i cut a selected section out of a larger video file and delete the excess, the whole video still shows up on the clip playback. the last problem is audio and video syncing problems. it appears that the audio is playing fine, but the video is rendering too fast. im using the most recent version out of the repos and pulseaudio 1.0.9 as far as i can tell. are these regular problems? could it be an issue with pulse audio? is there a way to switch to alsa, i can't seem to get it to work tbh. Thanks. |

Yes, there are well documented issues with pulseaudio. A quick check in the forums will give you workarounds, which should help that issue out.
Do you mean the official repos (so .7.6 I believe), or the sunab repos (.7.7). The .7.7 has a lot of fixes, and .7.7.1 will likely be in sunab's repos soon, once he gets a chance from other pressing matters. |

Hi thanks for the reply, to use the sunab repos I just add...
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/sunab/ppa/ubuntu karmic main to the software sources list? doesn't seem to work. |
