Clip & Project monitor issue

Sun Mar 07, 2010 5:10 pm
Hello there.

My video is 720x480 @ 30fps. On when I add my video, KDENLIVE sees it like 720x480 @ 25fps. On when I play the clip and/or the project, the windnow(s) regularly show(s) the clip/project. If I pause the clip/project (at T1 time), move back the cursor time (let's call it T0), and play again, monitor shows the last frame (still image) from T0 to T1 and movie starts again from T1 ahead. I hope I made it clear.
It's like the monitor freezes during replay of "past" frames.

On when KDENLIVE correctly sees the movie @ 30 fps, there is no issue at all and everything works perfectly.

What the hell can be ?

Kubuntu 9.10
KDE 4.3.2
KDENLIVE 0.75

Thanks

I also noticed that "In point" message does appear into clip monitor on rewind.
The same doesn't happen on when 30fps clip is on playing.

Any idea ?
Thanks

First of all you should really upgrade to version 0.7.7.1 (version .7.5 is deprecated, there have been a lot of bug fixes since it's release).

On ubuntu 9.10 simply open a terminal and type : sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sunab/ppa

Then update the repos and upgrade (sudo apt-get update ; sudo apt-get upgrade).

It should update Kdenlive and MLT. Then check to see if the problem is still there.

Ok, I have upgraded, so thanks.

Now the issue has changed. Now I can play the clip/project. On when I stop it and try to go back by 1 or more frame(s), the clip/project moves forward rather than back. No way to move back; it only goes ahead/forward. Stranger, no ?

Have you any idea what's happening now ?

Thanks
Paolo
