I'm just getting started with Kdenlive and the learning curve seems to be fairly short, but for me to do what I need to do, I need to be able to import audio files to add to the project and either mix with, or replace the recorded audio with.

I find nothing anywhere that gives any indication that kdenlive can do this... but it makes no sense that such would not be possible. How do I do this? Thanks!

simply add the files to your project as you do with your movie files. Then drag and drop to an audio track. That's it.

I wouldn't have even asked if it had worked yesterday when I tried it... it wasn't seeing any other files than video files... and when I tried to load them, it would crash. Now today it's working just like you said. I must have been in need of more sleep or something. Thanks for taking the time to respond to such a ridiculously simple thing.
