I am an absolute new user to Kdenlive. I need to import clips from a VCD. Kdenlive does not allow this using dragging and dropping or even the import option. Any suggestions?

Kdenlive cannot directly open them from a CD. You first have to move the videos to you computer (don't know what software is needed to do this)
