How to make GIF's work

Sat Jul 31, 2010 12:14 am
I recently asked how to add a watermark to a video, and got a great response which worked just fine (thanks again, really appreciated!).

I see that I can't use GIF's however, I can use them, but they don't work/animate, why is this?

Looks like ffmpeg does not support this yet.

Maybe a batch change of format GIF > JPG? Image magick can do it from command line, and I think digikam has a GUI for that?

You can add your single images in Kdenlive as a slideshow clip and that will be just the same as using an animated gif.

Please be a little bit more patient. I'm not sitting in front o my computer with this forum open all day.
You cannot add a slideshow clip to a title. It is only possible to drag it to the timeline, but there you can composite it over a title, so this shouldn't be a problem.
