Hi,

I'd like to call your attention to this initiative which is centered around Kdenlive. Three new contributions are available:

- a certification of Kdenlive and related components
- a video editing workflow manual (in Portuguese and English)
- a demo / promotional video edited with Kdenlive

This is certainly something that the Kdenlive community can benefict from. Since the manual was released under a CC license it can also be improved and adopted by the project.

The initiative comes from 2 Open Source providers in Lisbon and a freelance journalist.

The amazing work of the kdenlive / mlt team, as well the whole set of multimedia software that comprises the editing workflow is acknowledged, highlighted and praised :-)

LMAO on that video - truly entertaining. There was discussion on the mailing list about the manual and where to centralize it. It seems most developers were in favor of userbase.kde.org in part of becoming an official KDE project even though most existing authors have chosen wikibooks.org. (Was there a reason other than some precedent?) What have you chosen to do for your manuals?

The workflow manual is published is under a CC attribution license so it's contents can be used in whatever way is most helpful.

Our idea was to kickstart a document which puts together information that should really not be spread accross dozens of forum posts, plus doing a formal certification of usage scenarios.

Thus, if the English version of the workflow manual is helpful as a kickstart, the project can certainly host it on a wiki and let it be updated by the community, as soon as you reach consensus about where to host.
