I didn't know whether to put this question here or in the rendering forum, but I chose to put it here. I just installed Xubuntu 10.04 and Kdenlive 0.7.7.1. When I want to render, I see no way to start the rendering process. I read the guide but some of the buttons mentioned there are not in my program. The "job Queue" tab on the render dialog box shows no jobs, so if i click start jobs, nothing happens. It seems like there is a button missing to begin rendering. I can set the properties, but cannot actually start the rendering process.
I've uploaded some screenshots to my web server: http://www.lightningsoftwaresolutions.com/kdenlive1.png http://www.lightningsoftwaresolutions.com/kdenlive2.png In shot1, there is no button to start the render, and if I were to show you the queue tab, there is no job listed. In shot2, I showed you the dvd wizard because there is no video listed to put on a dvd, nor is there a "render now" button as mentioned in the guide. This may be part of the same problem, I don't know. If I'm missing something simple, please let me know. John |

Ok, I think I figured it out. The dropdown box that says "Render to File" in screenshot 1 (above), is also a button that can be clicked!!! Either that, or I clicked on something by accident and it started rendering. I'm sure glad it is going now. I'll let you know if I have more problems.

Hi,
In Kdenlive 0.7.7.1, the dropdown is a button, which is confusing. In the next release (and in the current svn) the dropdown/button is replaced by a button and a dropdown list. |
