Hey all,

My last project was just SD, but I did attempt to export it in HD and this happened as well. The exported video always has a duration massively more than the actual project, skipping through the video in a player often leads to long pauses or completely stopped playback.

Sure I have read of this in the past, but cannot remember the reason or solution.

I am just using (currently) the default profile in kdenlive for HDV 720 25p. The project is set the same way.

Same happens for 1080 etc. But DV seems to work OK

Any ideas?

Cheers

Is there a particular reason why you are choosing HDV export (e.g. you want to record it back to tape)? Did you try just a MPEG-2 export?

hmm, your quite right, not sure why I was using HDV. Think this is a case of me not really understanding what it meant. Used MPEG4 (as I think YouTube prefers this) and all was well.

Did see the profiles for Youtube etc, but there are non for full 1080p and the audio bitrate seems a bit low, sure Youtube supports more than 128kbps.

Anyway, thanks again for your help
