I've got some security cam footage shot at 2 FPS and I'd like to change the frame rate to 30 FPS and edit it in Kdenlive. Using avifix to change the framerate from 2 to 30 works fine in every AVI player I've tried but it does not work in Kdenlive. The imported clips still show up as 2 FPS when I import them even though the AVI header has been changed to 30 FPS.
Is there some other way to do this? I prefer not to re-encode the video and lose another generation of quality. I'd like to use the original encoding and just change the frame rate as with avifix. -Steve |

Found the answer to this on the kdenlive irc channel. Turns out another program, avidemux, can alter the frame rates in a way that kdenlive likes without needed to re-encode. This worked great for me.
