I've got some security cam footage shot at 2 FPS and I'd like to change the frame rate to 30 FPS and edit it in Kdenlive. Using avifix to change the framerate from 2 to 30 works fine in every AVI player I've tried but it does not work in Kdenlive. The imported clips still show up as 2 FPS when I import them even though the AVI header has been changed to 30 FPS.

Is there some other way to do this? I prefer not to re-encode the video and lose another generation of quality. I'd like to use the original encoding and just change the frame rate as with avifix.

Found the answer to this on the kdenlive irc channel. Turns out another program, avidemux, can alter the frame rates in a way that kdenlive likes without needed to re-encode. This worked great for me.
