Hello,
Thank you in-advance to all who read this and who are able to offer advice. I am new to the Linux world I am also new to the Kden World I am seeking advice on the best linux platform to use Kden. I am seeking advice on how to install Kden. I have been testing Ubuntu 10 for three weeks now and I am feeling confident that a jump to Linux is soon. As I am starting my own business, I would like to launch my business using Linux. Like many of you, I am choosing to abandon windows because of the difficulties I had experienced with XP. Having said that I am not motivated to upgrade to 7. If someone could direct me to a video or text tutorial that could clearly show in laymen's terms me how to install Kden, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you once again. Install the kdenlive package using the Synaptic program or add/remove programs.
If you can't find it that way, search the ubuntu documentation or forums on how to install the universe repository. I don't use ubuntu, but something like that should get you the 0.7.7.1 release. You may also find a 'ppa' repository with a more recent version, but since you are new to ubuntu, it would be best not to get too complex yet. See https://launchpad.net/~sunab/+archive/kdenlive-release Good Luck. |

I am sorry to bother every one once again.
I have a Panasonic PV-DV400 Digital Camcorder it is identical to the Panasonic PV-DV900 Digital Camcorder listed in the data base. The problem I am experiencing is the fire wire connection is not being recognized. Is there a patch I need? Thank you once again. Dee |

Moments ago, I found the on-line trouble shooting guide.
I am going to explore that avenue. BRB |
