I am comparing various open-source video editors and video players and am looking for an application that can take a group of individual video clips that I queue up and seamlessly aggregate/combine/play them as one video. The key is to be able to do this in an automated fashion as opposed to needing to manually combine video clips. Does Kdenlive have this capability, or has anyone else worked on developing this kind of functionality?

Additionally does Kdenlive hold up well in a web environment?

Thanks in advance, and if this is a silly question, I apologize. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at melt, which is the command utility that comes with MLT - the multimedia framework which Kdenlive uses.
