Okay i'm in 6th grade and i have a assignment where i have to make a commercial and i need you guys to help me,


The first thing i need to (i know its kind of stupid ) but I need to know how to cut parts off a video

When it is on the timeline, drag the left or right end of the clip.

You can use the razor tool (scissors icon at the bottom) to cut into pieces. Also, you can load a clip into the clip viewer, mark an "in" position and an "out" position using the [ ] buttons and then drag just that selection from the clip viewer to the timeline.

okay thanks, the next thing i need to do is to make the screen go gradully brighter until it is pure white and then back to normal

might be easier another way but maybe add a white color clip and use the fade transition into the white color clip and then the fade transition out of the white color clip back to your video clip. when using multiple clips and transitions the clips must be places above or below each other in the video tracks and slightly overlap. there's many youtube help tutorials out there, use google to find em.

Also, I want to point out to you that this is F.O.S.S. and every person using it, supporting it (via forums) or developing it is doing so for FREE, so when you post something in capitals basically yelling at people for help you're less likely to get any.
