Hey, I'm getting this error when launching the program, and it just popped up out of the blue. I however did go from Mint Julia to Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04 beta and back to Mint Julia again. I wanted to use other distros, but hadn't discovered virtual box yet. Hey, im a new Linux user, so whatever. Anyway, heres the error I mentioned earlier.

Kdenlive still works just fine, I just get that error at startup, and the mpeg-4 codecs aren't available. I was able to get them during the first Julia install and Ubuntu 10.10. Would you suggest switching to a KDE based distro, or back to Ubuntu 10.10, since that acually worked?

Well, I believe I fixed it. On Mint 10, the Kdenlive file was 1MB in the software center, while in the Ubuntu 10.10 it is 80 MB. I think I was missing files that the other 79MB included. I guess that Mint hates Kdenlive for some reason.
