I'm using kdenlive 0.7.8 with Ubuntu 10.10. Transitions are just not working at all. I'm trying to use the stock "dissolve" and it doesn't do a thing. Am I the only person having this problem? I created a new account to rule out any vagaries with the account I've been using since Ubuntu 6.x. Dissolve just does not work at all. I swear video editing on linux is just heartbreaking. Pittivi crashes every 10 seconds, OpenShot crashes every 20 seconds, and kdenlive doesn't seem to work either.

I confirm stock dissolve works on Kdenlive .7.8 for me. I use the exact method explained by “This Week on Linux” youtube contributor.

I have three different computers . The Athlon computer is running Linux Mint 64bit, I run Ubuntu 32bit on one Intel machine and 64bit Ubuntu on the other Intel machine.

Well, I'm using the same method, and although the transition appears in the editor, it doesn't do anything. Is there some debug mode in kdenlive I can enable that might tell me more?
