I have source video 352x288 (not matter 3gp or avi).
I set project property VCD PAL (or another, also not matter).
Put source video on timeline and click render.
After rendering I have video 352x288, but around video there is wide black borders. And image it self in video more little than 352x288.

What I do wrong?

IMHO that is because you have kdenlive-0.7.8 with the mlt built for kdenlive-0.8

Update to the Packman packager version of kdenlive-0.8-1 here: http://packman.links2linux.de/package/kdenlive

That solved the problem for me.

Unfortunately, there no 0.8 package for opensuse 11.4 x64. And i586 requires other i586 libraries

I know the Packman Packagers were having problems with a bug in the openSUSE build service impacting openSUSE-11.4 builds. You could try to rebuild it yourself for 11.4 using the 64-bit openSUSE-11.3 kde .src package from here: http://packman.links2linux.de/package/kdenlive/226997 . Ensure you have gcc and make installed (I typically have the base-development pattern selected for installation in YaST Software Management) and after downloading kdenlive-0.8-1.pm.1.1.src.rpm using a command (as a regular user) such as

rpmbuild --rebuild kdenlive-0.8-1.pm.1.1.src.rpm

That will initially give you something like 15 or so development packages you need to install (ie application-devel). So go and install each of those, one by one, and then again try as a regular user:

rpmbuild --rebuild kdenlive-0.8-1.pm.1.1.src.rpm

Once it builds successfully, you will find it under /usr/src/packages/RPMS/x86_64 ready for installation.

I've successfully used that method for installing kdenlive on openSUSE versions when the packaged kdenlive was not available.

Failing that you could ask on the packman package mailing list for the 64-bit kdenlive and confirm my assessment of a build service problem is correct. http://lists.links2linux.de/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/packman

The bug in the openSUSE Open Build Service has been fixed, and kdenlive 0.8.1 for x86_64 is being built and should be available in an hour or so.

Yes, I've upgraded kdenlive, and there is no problem more.

Thank you.
