I am running Linux Mint 11 with a lowlatency kernel for ubuntu studio "natty"(https://launchpad.net/~abogani/+archive/ppa/+packages).
I loaded KDEnlive V0.7.8 from the LM software manager. Now I am trying to edit .m2ts files and use the proxy setting to speed things up. But under the project setting there is no option for this. Am I doing something wrong, should I not use the LM software manager to get KDEnlive? Any help would be great. Thanks |

I am pretty sure that the proxy option was not introduced until V8, so you will have to update kdenlive to get this
Sunabs repository offers a more up-to-date version ppa:sunab/kdenlive-release More info: http://www.kdenlive.org/forum/kdenkive-078-packaged-ubuntu-maverick-lucid-karmic-jaunty |

Thanks!!! It worked
I guess LM 11 hasn't added the latest V of KDEnlive to there software manager. I am now getting an note saying that the proxy crashed. I think I read something about on another thread. I'll check it out! Thanks again |

no problem, glad that worked.
I think there have been some recent fixes on the proxy creation crashing, but you would have to use the other ppa to get the latest build from sunab, to test these fixes ppa:sunab/kdenlive-svn might be worth a try, but note this is a testing ppa, so other things can break. |
