I am having a problem with editing video recorded on my Nexus One. The playback speed is wrong and the audio is out of sync.

I am trying to edit video I shot with the video recorder app on my Nexus One running Android 2.3.4. They are .3gp files.

When I open the files in VLC and open the info window, it says the video stream has the following properties:

codec: avc1
Resolution: 720x480

The frame rate seems to vary for each individual video file.

The problem I have is when I load them into kdenlive the audio is out of sync and the playback is either too slow or too fast. When I adjust the frame rate in the project properties, it helps with the playback speed, but the audio is still out of sync. Also, since the clips seem to have different frame rates, adjusting the project frame rate for each clip isn't going to work. Any suggestions (besides converting the video)?

I am running the MacPorts version of kdenlive (0.7.8)
