Hi!
I'm new to Kdenlive and have just installed it. I admit most of the beginning wizard stuff was Greek to me so I just accepted the defaults. I havn't tried it yet because when I mouse over a button to see what it does the tool tip appears with a black background. the foreground is so close to the color of the background that it is unreadable. I can just tell that there is some text there I just can't read it. Does anyone know how to fix this? it looks like a great program, similar to some in Windows that I've used. Thank, Paul |

This is an Ubuntu bug (I'm assuming that's what you are using) which has been around for ages, I read up on it a lot at the time, this was a while ago now.
Easiest way to fix this is to go on "System > Preferences > Appearance" then change the theme to "Clearlooks". This will make the problem go away permanently. If you don't like the "Clearlooks" theme, then changing back to the theme you were on should still leave the problem fixed, but you would have to flick to "Clearlooks" and back every time you login, as the issue will come back each time Hope that helps |

It does indeed! thanks. I figured out that it is only the greyed out options that are unreadable, again, I think a bug in Ubuntu, or as you suggest the theme i'm using. Actually, its the default theme I think and I will change it to Clearlooks. If I don't like that I guess I could go looking on the internet. I reall appreciate your quick answer!
