How and where does Kdenlive store changes made to a video? What if that video is deleted?

I was working on a vid and saved changes to it but, by accident I deleted the video. If I re-upload that same original video (with the same name) will Kdenlive still be able to recognize all the changes I had made to it?

Thanks for your help.

when you open a kdenlive project, during the open process, it checks all videos, audio, images etc are where they were last time. If anything is missing, it comes up with a box allowing you to search for the clips. So if you put it back with same name and location, all should open fine, if it is in a different location with the same name, then you can just navigate to it and kdenlive will update it's links. So yes, all should be fine
